I decided to get into dentistry because I’ve always liked to help people. That was my first kind of foot in the door from that. And then shadowing a dentist growing up I just saw that it’s more of like a family atmosphere than all the other fields of medicine. So I just enjoy the work environment spending time and getting to know all my patients. I’d say the most rewarding part about being a dentist is the smile that patients give you after you’ve gotten them out of pain, corrected their bite, or just kind of improve their smile overall.
I’ve joined different study clubs. I’m in Spear Education now. I’m just trying to basically move forward in learning all aspects of dentistry. I’m focusing a little bit more on overall treatment planning, cosmetics, and bigger cases. Now that I’ve gotten out of school and I’m practicing in private practice about everything that we learn and in all facets, there’s plenty, plenty to learn more of.
My goal that I would want all my patients to gain from seeing me in practice would be basically whatever they’re looking for. Whether that be they want to improve the aesthetics of their smile that I could get that done for them. If they wanna come to me just to come out or get out of pain, I’m happy to oblige in that way. So it’s more so figuring out what the patients want and then going in that direction to suit their needs.
